The Social Media Listening-Value Matrix is a tool used to measure the value of social media conversations and interactions. It helps to identify which conversations are most valuable and should be prioritized, and which are not worth engaging with. The matrix is divided into four quadrants, each representing a different type of conversation.

The top-left quadrant is labeled “High Listening/High Value” and represents conversations that are both worth engaging with and are likely to have a high impact on your business. These conversations should be prioritized and responded to quickly. An example of a conversation that would fit into this quadrant is a customer complaint about a product or service.

The top-right quadrant is labeled “Low Listening/High Value” and represents conversations that are worth engaging with but are not likely to have a high impact on your business. These conversations should still be responded to, but can be given a lower priority. An example of a conversation that would fit into this quadrant is a customer compliment about a product or service.

The bottom-left quadrant is labeled “High Listening/Low Value” and represents conversations that are not worth engaging with but are likely to have a high impact on your business. These conversations should be monitored but not responded to. An example of a conversation that would fit into this quadrant is a customer complaint about a competitor’s product or service.

The bottom-right quadrant is labeled “Low Listening/Low Value” and represents conversations that are neither worth engaging with nor likely to have a high impact on your business. These conversations should be monitored but not responded to. An example of a conversation that would fit into this quadrant is a customer compliment about a competitor’s product or service.
