The Agile Maturity Matrix is a tool used to assess the maturity of an organization's agile practices. It is a 2x2 matrix that evaluates the current state of an organization's agile practices and provides guidance on how to improve them.

What is the Agile Maturity Matrix?

  1. Ad Hoc: Organizations that have not yet adopted agile practices, with some basic processes in place.
  2. Repeatable: Organizations that have adopted agile practices and are beginning to apply them consistently.
  3. Defined: Organizations that have adopted agile practices and are consistently applying them.
  4. Optimized: Organizations that have adopted agile practices and are consistently applying them, as well as optimizing their processes for maximum efficiency.

What is the purpose of the Agile Maturity Matrix?

The Agile Maturity Matrix is a tool used to assess the maturity of an organization's agile practices. The matrix is divided into four quadrants, each representing a different level of maturity. The top-left quadrant is the most basic level, while the bottom-right quadrant is the most advanced level.

The top-right quadrant is labeled “Repeatable” and represents organizations that have adopted agile practices and are beginning to apply them consistently.
