  3. Maintaining: Organizations that have successfully implemented processes and strategies but are not actively improving them, e.g. regularly collecting customer feedback but not making changes based on it.
  4. Optimizing: Organizations that are actively improving their processes and strategies, e.g. regularly collecting customer feedback and making changes based on it.

What is the purpose of the Organizational Development Maturity Matrix?

The Organizational Development Maturity Matrix is a 2x2 matrix used to assess the maturity of an organization in terms of its ability to develop and implement strategies and processes. It is used to identify areas of improvement and to prioritize resources.

The matrix is divided into four quadrants:

  • The top left quadrant is labeled “Developing” and represents organizations that are just beginning to develop processes and strategies.
