What is the Digital Maturity Matrix?

  1. Digital Optimizers: Organizations that have embraced digital transformation and are leveraging technology to optimize their processes and operations (e.g. AI and machine learning to automate processes, cloud-based solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs)
  2. Digital Enhancers: Organizations that are making progress towards digital transformation, but are not yet at the highest level of digital maturity (e.g. digital marketing strategies, customer relationship management (CRM) systems)
  3. Digital Adopters: Organizations that are in the early stages of digital transformation (e.g. basic analytics tools, basic automation tools)
  4. Digital Beginners: Organizations that are just starting their digital transformation journey (e.g. exploring digital marketing, understanding the potential of automation)

Examples of Digital Optimizers include companies that have implemented AI and machine learning to automate processes, or those that have adopted cloud-based solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

The Digital Enhancers quadrant represents organizations that are making progress towards digital transformation, but are not yet at the highest level of digital maturity. These organizations have adopted some digital technologies, but are still in the process of optimizing their processes and operations. Examples of Digital Enhancers include companies that have implemented digital marketing strategies, or those that have adopted customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

The Digital Adopters quadrant represents organizations that are in the early stages of digital transformation. These organizations have adopted some digital technologies, but are still in the process of understanding how to leverage them to improve their operations. Examples of Digital Adopters include companies that have implemented basic analytics tools, or those that have adopted basic automation tools.

The Digital Beginners quadrant represents organizations that are just starting their digital transformation journey. These organizations have not yet adopted any digital technologies, and are still in the process of understanding how to leverage them to improve their operations. Examples of Digital Beginners include companies that are just starting to explore digital marketing, or those that are just beginning to understand the potential of automation.
